# The photo checklist

Send this to the person whose house it is. More photos make a better house; blurry or dark ones help little.

**Outside (daylight, from far enough to see the whole wall)**
- The front, straight on, from across the street or the far side of the yard.
- The back, and each side.
- One from a corner showing two walls and the roof together.
- The roof line if it can be seen (from a window upstairs or across the road).
- The gate, the fence or wall round the yard, the path to the door.

**Inside, every room**
- From one corner looking at the opposite corner, and from that corner back.
- The floor (tiles, wood, concrete, rug) and any built-in parts (wardrobe, counter, shelves).
- Doors and windows close enough to judge their size.
- The stairs from the bottom and the top.

**Sizes (if you can)**
- A tape measure along one wall of each room, in the photo.
- Or say: how many steps long each room is (one step is about 75 cm).
- The ceiling height, or how many stair steps go up one floor.

**Leave out (privacy)**
- People, house numbers, street signs, car plates, letters and documents, screens showing anything personal.
